Happy Holidays Everyone! If you've read any of my blogs (first Thank You!) you know that I am an very nostalgic person. Following Christmas tradition of watching of my top 5 Christmas movies Jingle All The Way, I thought about something. It's time we got a Turbo Man cartoon.
Within the world of Jingle All The Way, Turbo Man apparently was a huge franchise bigger than Transformers, Ninja Turtles, and Power Rangers. Turbo Man was everywhere in the movie. We saw clips of the Turbo Man TV show, cereal, PJ's and of course the less in demand toys like Booster. I'm sure there were video games, school supplies and more based on Turbo Man.
Back on topic, now that 20th Century Fox is owned by Disney and Disney loves tapping into nostalgia to get adults to spend more money. We need a limited series 6-8 episodes Turbo Man cartoon on Disney Plus. Explaining exactly what Turbo Man's mission was, who his civilian alter-ego is, the city he's saving and much more. We also need to learn more of Dementor's evil plan to take over the world and how bad the demon team were as henchman.
The style of the cartoon could be similar to the short-lived early 2000's Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command (which actually was a good cartoon). We need all of this to satisfy the inner child in all of us 90's kids turned adult kids. Deep Down we also just want an opportunity to shout "It's Turbo Time!"
