The "Infinity Saga" introduced the world to superheroes and aliens. The "Multiverse Saga" will introduce more aliens in addition to magic and multiple universes. The next saga for phase 7 should be "The Mutant Saga".
The concept of mutants were introduced in the latest Disney + show "Ms. Marvel" and fans have been clamoring for the X-Men to be introduced in the MCU.
I previously wrote how the X-Men should have their own TV show within the MCU and not a movie. The more I think about it, them leading the charge in subsequent phases makes sense.
Within the MCU timeline and within reality by time we get to Phase 7, it will be 20 years since Iron Man uttered his famous words and people learned about superheroes. It would be cool to see a fully formed X-men well aware of previous and current world events, coming out of shadows openly to save the world.
Especially if The Avengers have disbanded or taken a break to rebuild the roster.
It also would be cool to see a world who has experienced the blip, major alien attacks around the world and so much more. Still be prejudice against mutants for whatever reason the MCU comes up with. Maybe even better if earth's atmosphere changed after the blip and introduced the genome that sparked mutants.
It would also be cool to switch things up and have Mr. Sinister as the main arc villain planning to eradicate mutants and humans after a failed experiment, or maybe give Apocalypse another go this time but done right.
I'm just spitballing ideas and there are so many ways they could go, but three things are clear. Fans want to see the X-Men in the MCU, by Phase 7 Marvel will have to change the status quo on things to keep audience engaged. If they do follow through with this saga, I expect a phone call to write the film.
